Jan was gone at
QuiltCon so Jessica ran our small meeting. :)
She started us off with some announcements:
Next month we'll be
making placemats for Meals On Wheels. Emails with
all details to follow.
We'll also be having a
sew day in the future at Primitive Gatherings. That date and details to follow.
Jessica was in charge of the February BOM, which is the Starflower Quilt Block by Coral + Co. You can find the link to the tutorial here.
Nancy started us off on Show and Tell. She made these 2 Manatee plushies from the "Monty
Manatee" pattern for her 9 year old granddaughter, which she had bought at Road to California. Her granddaughter didn't like the name Monty so she decided to renamed them Marco and Macey Manatee.
Nancy also made these fun fabric coasters she
found on Pinterest. They are a quick and easy project. Here is the link:
She even created a paper example and gave us a little tutorial on how it all goes together.
Toni brought in her Charity quilt which she free motion quilted on.
Toni also brought in this layer cake kid
quilt her husband named "Temecula Fruit Cocktail".
Sue made this
Christmas quilt using a layer cake and background also quilted it.
Jessica made this cute heart wall hanging using 2.5
in squares.
She's working on this "Home Grown" kit she bought at Primitive Gatherings.
She also made these fun Christmas table
runners.
We ended our short meeting with our raffle. Here were the winners:
