Our December meeting was a little bit of business and a lotta bit of fun! Here's a little recap for those of you who were unable to join us.
We started off with a little name tag game. As we all came in, VP Jessica placed a filled in nametag on each of our backs. We had to talk to others and ask questions to figure out who we were supposed to be.
Jan surprised all the board members with these fun Sew Hometown BOM quilt calendars by Inspiring Stitches. Thanks again, Jan! 💕
Then we went on to do our Yankee Gift Exchange for the soup bowl cozies. There were so many cute bowl cozies made that there was some fun stealing going on.
After the exchange, Susan started off Show and tell. She brought in her Jelly Roll Race quilt and is donating it to our charity quilt stash.
She also embroidered this adorable apron for herself.
Jessica made this super cute stocking out of cats in stocking fabric. Perfect for this cat lady. 😍
Wendy made this quilt during the SoCal quilt run for her nephew in Wisconsin.
Toni shared with us her "Deadheading" quilt she made for herself. She saw this Alexander Henry fabric and knew she had to create a quilt out of it because the lady in the print reminded her of herself since she loves gardening.
After we wrapped up Show and Tell we played Left Right Center using Fat Quarters!
This game was so much fun and got us all riled up.
Jessica won one table's game and Wendy won the other game. Can you tell they were a little excited?
While we all snacked on goodies we had brought to the party, we did our monthly raffle. Here were the winners:
Susan won the Cluck Cluck Sew fat 8th bundle, Taylor won the $50 Primitive Gatherings gift card, and Jan won the Gingerbread Mug from Primitive Gatherings.
We had a great year as a guild and hope to start off the new year with some fun ideas. If you'd like to hear some of our ideas for this year, our first board meeting of the year is tomorrow, January 3rd, at 6:30 pm 8-Bit Brewing Company. And don't forget our first guild meeting will be Thursday, January 17th, at 6:30 pm at Primitive Gatherings. Until then, Happy Sewing!
