Jessica presented the Block of the Month for July and August which is called the Strip Step Block. Since it will be the BOM for the next 2 months please bring 2 in. You can find the BOM instructions in the blog post here.
Linda started off Show and Tell with this gorgeous completed quilt top she made from a
Kaffe Fassett quilt kit she bought on Crafty.
Nancy D. showed us her cute patriotic hand applique wall hanging she made in a class she recently took.
Patricia brought in this cute Halloween embroidered wall hanging that she made and plans on getting framed.
Wendy's son Corey joined us for this meeting. Corey has been quilting for 4 years and long armed this rainbow quilt on his mon's new long arm.
Jessica bought the pattern for this bag she saw in a magazine and made it but wants to make changes to it so it can open easier.
After Show and Tell some of us brought in our favorite and least favorite tools. They ranged from rulers and sticky tape to needles and embroidery floss.
Here are this month's raffle winners:
Fat quarter bundle of Batiks - Linda
Reusable bag with embroidery goodies - Jessica
Primitive Gatherings gift card - Jan
To end our meeting Dru from Primitive Gatherings shared with us all of her favorite tools as well!
Up next month: Instead of Christmas in July like last year, we'll be holding a jelly roll race this year. To join in, bring your sewing machine, a jelly roll, fabric scissors and lots of thread! Hope to see you there!
