So September ran away from me, but we have a Member Interview for October and it is with Madelynn. Read below to find out more about her. Enjoy! :)

I'm Madelynn. I am a middle aged wanna be awesome modern quilter. I say that with humor. I am married (32 years) and the mother of 3 adult children (two sons and a daughter). We are semi empty nesters, in that our youngest son is with us while he buys a house and recently got engaged. During the day I work as a clinical lab scientist in microbiology (33 yrs) at St. Bernardine Hospital in San Bernardino. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Biology from Cal State San Bernardino in the 1980's. My favorite animals are cats and my favorite color is orange.C
I joined TVMQG with my friend Nancy after I stopped at Needle in a Fabric Stash and saw a flyer for the start up of the guild. So I have been a member since the beginning. I wanted a group that loved quilting but with newer ideas and fabric. It forces me to be accountable and productive with my hordes of fabric. Haha! I keep buying more! I also enjoy seeing and hearing about the group's projects, both individual and together. It is encouraging to my creative spirit! My new purchase is a sweet 16 handi long arm quilter. I'm so excited to learn to quilt my unfinished ufo's.
Lately I have enjoyed Tula Pink fabric, Birch fabrics, and vintage florals. The blogs I follow are swim, bike, quilt, in color order, Anna Maria Horner, Diary of a Quilter and Crazy Mom Quilts. I have never entered a show but maybe in the future. My other hobby at the moment is restoring a 1920's cottage in San Diego. Plenty of room for quilts!
